My previous way

Grown up in a small city in the heart of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Germany), surrounded by meadows, forests and lakes.

After 13 years of school and a short 9-month stay in the army in the northern tip of Germany, I started my studies at the university of Wismar. I completed my practical semester on the chinese island Hainan. While this time I dealed with native iOS applications. The theme of my work was:

After the internship my interests in programming and designing of cross-plattform web-applications and websites started to grow. Especially in the frontend I feel myself at home.

After the submission of my bachelor thesis in December 2012 and the defense one month later I successfully completed my studies in February 2013. My thesis, the

Development of an interactive company portfolio on mobile devices

was the result of this development process.

Thesis - Abstract

The objective of the project is to present the user a modern company, which works style conscious on their subject and reflects that outwardly by the portfolio. Therefore, care has to be taken onto the different input and output methods of smartphones, tablets and notebooks respectively desktop computers.

Because there are different opportunities in terms of realization, there will be drawn an analogy between native applications and mobile web applications at the beginning. The result of this comparison is the decision to develop a web application with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Especially at JavaScript the open source library jQuery is used.

With this work the merging of different systems is described, innovations are shown and it is tried to find the perfect way for a cross-platform application, that a consistent presentation is given.

Way of work

Since the first presentation of the iPhone in the year 2007 and the following iPad three years later, mobile devices get a growing importance in our society. People work, inform themselves and play with these devices.

With this evolution also new design ideas came up. Were different style effects only nice gimmicks in "earlier times", there is a rapid change now. The use of the fingers, in comparison with the mouse, give the user a stronger connection to single elements.

To give the people a new experience, I rely on the latest technologies. Therefor I have a high claim on functionality and quality. A big passion I cherish for the design. It should be fun for the user to move through the world wide web. Discover new things wasn't only an important point while growing up, it also continues, however it falls into oblivion fast.

Free time

Also in my free time I love to deal with technical devices in all regards – inform, play, program. I'm only satisfied, when I have a technical device next to me in between times.

Furthermore I like to be part in the organisation of the Amtsrock (fb.com/amtsrock), an annually music open air. There my tasks are concentrated on the advertisment (print and digital).

When I'm not in front of the computer there has to be sport somewhere. Soccer, Basketball, Boxing, Formula 1 – something is always. But the best is to be together with friends in that time. Only then music or sport events are getting really interesting!
