Since the first presentation of the iPhone in the year 2007 and the following iPad three years later, mobile devices get a growing importance in our society. People work, inform themselves and play with these devices. Finally it was the point „Information” to focus on in the bachelor thesis.

Because there are different opportunities in terms of realization, there had to be drawn an analogy between native applications and cross-platform web applications at the beginning. The result of this comparison was the decision to develop a web application with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Especially at JavaScript the open source library jQuery is used.
To dynamically change pages in the application, AJAX was the language which gave this opportunity. The touch options on mobile devices was also included – in the vertical navigation while reading news for example or in the horizontal navigation while switching images in the different slideshows of the projects. Overall the horizontal navigation was in the foreground.

The Goal of the work ...

was the development of a modern, dynamic and individual portfolio for the presentation of a Chinese company with German roots, which works style conscious on their subject and reflects that outwardly by the portfolio. Therefore, care had to be taken onto the different input and output methods of smartphones, tablets and notebooks respectively desktop computers. The portfolio has to be identical on all major browser – mobile and desktop – in applicable extent. A reduction of the layout occurs, because of the mobile data network connected to the limited data volumes of smartphones and tablets. With this work the merging of different systems was described, innovations were shown and it was tried to find the perfect way for a cross-platform application, that a consistent presentation is given.
